A rebellious teenage drug user, Paul is startled by an apparition of an African Christ, who is visible to him only. At the same time, Paul's mother Nora has nightmares about Paul being murdered by his abusive father, Brian, while in real life, Brian is making death threats to her new lover. Encouraged by Christ to become more spiritual, Paul struggles to convince his family and friends that he isn't crazy, and find out why Christ has appeared to him.
